Jack and The Bean? ORLY?
Live laptop repair via ustream (archived and recorded 03.21.09)
Steve Cherubino from Philly PA
I know to some of my viewers, this will feel like watching paint dry and I think it runs an hour long, but I assure you this laptop repair video (of a power jack) is unique because it is thorough in every aspect. I have a new found respect for Steve Cherubino and the VM was sent to declare my digital high-five directly after my complete view.
I just beg you to stick through the first few minutes if only to understand how to access your wireless card, harddrive, memory … the easily replaceable parts via a few screws. I bet you had no idea it was so easy to replace/upgrade these parts on your laptop.

I made it through my audio appearance at Ben’s Tech Show this afternoon but unfortch without ustream. Ben never went live on ustream for quality reasons, therefore I saw no reason. Even though I was completely ready for it. I primped a bit because I felt confident about the show notes which was a 24 hour advance. Such a great host.

Allow me to explain.
Friday night’s in the bunker are Drill Down Nights because its MrBabyMan extraordinaire and dotlizard told me to and then I met Reg with dual screens and ice wine and it was an inked-in weekly event. Ahem……….. and the next thing I knew I was hanging up on Zaibatsu and it was 5:00 am and Skype was in full swing with an Urgo

FYI: For all of thewvsr’s out there: YES I am fully aware of Jeff’s Latest Weekly Update and I could not stop grinning. I had no idea that my MeFi post would do the trick. Someone beat me to digg and I knew MeFi was the next best audience and it was sheer dumb luck. Moral: Keep you head down and continue plugging away.
Jeff’s Weekly recap opened with:
The Woodstock Death Count got off to a slow start last week, and I was starting to believe nobody cared if the members of Quill are still alive. Incredible, I know, but that’s the way it appeared at first. But then our very own CitizenX posted it to Metafilter, and it took off from there. It’s now linked at blogs all over the world, as well as the website of one of my favorite music magazines. Good stuff
(BTW: was pleasantly surprised to learn URGO joined MeFi in 2004)
